Training for the Construction Sector

Now is the time to talk about training specifically for the Construction Sector. There are more injuries and fatalities in Northern Ireland now than ever. All of which can be avoided if all workers are trained to the correct level to ensure their and others around them safety.

Last week, we learnt of a devastating accident which ended in fatality of a construction worker. Barry McQuaid was injured in the incident on a building site at GAA club in Ederney on Friday. It is understood he died at the scene.

We need to talk about the importance of the correct Health and Safety Training in the construction sector.

Over 200 people are killed each year in accidents at work and over one million people are injured. Over two million suffer illnesses caused by, or made worse by, their work
